Convention XXIV

26 May 2013, Posted by WSU Lambda Phi Epsilon in Brotherhood, Leadership, Social

Every year, Lambda Phi Epsilon hosts a National Convention where brothers from all over the world gather together to meet our newly crossed members and strengthen our eternal brotherhood. Lasting throughout Memorial Day Weekend from May 24-26, 2013, Convention XXIV this year was hosted in Santa Clara, CA. Because we were already out for the summer, our brothers Michael Jackson, Zhi Hu, Gabriel Dumbrique, and Jeremy Valdez road tripped to Northern California.

This year was especially empowering for all attendees since the theme focused on defining our “Legacy.” During Convention there were networking events with alumni, leadership summits with fraternity consultants, brotherhood bonding with other regions, and even socials with our sister sorority—alpha Kappa Delta Phi. Not only did we get to room with our pledge bro charters from University of North Carolina and learned how their chartering process went, but we also shook hands with the principal founder of our fraternity—Master Craig Ishigo! During Banquet, we were presented with our framed Manga Carta to bring back to our chapter in Pullman. Overall, WSU Colony’s first Convention experience was a memorable one, and we look forward to going to many more in the future.
