APASC Closing Ceremonies

26 Apr 2013, Posted by WSU Lambda Phi Epsilon in Academics, Culture, Leadership

The mission of the Asian Pacific American Student Coalition (APASC) is to provide support for all Asian American or Pacific Islander students in the university environment while enhancing cultural diversity. APASC is an entity with elected student leaders that sponsors social, cultural, and academic activities. In addition, it provides student peer support and leadership training, and sponsors Asian Pacific American Awareness Month which occurs in April. APASC, as a committee of the Associated Students of Washington State University, also serves as an umbrella resource organization which helps supports other registered student organizations (RSOs) specifically affiliated with APASC.

To conclude the year, APASC hosted their annual closing ceremonies to celebrate both Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and the school year at large. APASC invited all organizations that fall under their umbrella as well as committees under ASWSU. This event took place in the CUB Senior Ballroom on April 26th, 2013 at 6PM. The celebration includes a banquet as well as awards given to individuals that have proudly served their organizations. Congratulations to our chapter for earning “Organization of the Year!” Also, huge kudos to our very own Sebatian Kalilikane for winning “Member of the Year” and to Zhi Hu for being selected as “Officer of the Year.” We are excited for what comes in store for us next year as we take this campus by storm.
